Stronger organizations.
Clearer leadership.
Systems grounded in Inuit perspective.
Stone Path Consulting is an Inuit-owned consulting firm helping Indigenous organizations strengthen their structures, leadership, governance, and workforce systems.
Samantha Doig
Founder, Principal Consultant
Indigenous organizations deserve systems built for them, not imposed on them.
Stone Path Consulting was created to help Indigenous organizations build strong, self-sufficient institutions that support their right to self-governance and self-determination.

Too often, workplace systems are imported from outside structures that do not reflect Indigenous leadership traditions, values, or community realities.

Stone Path helps organizations build people and leadership systems rooted in their own values, while supporting accountability, growth, and strong governance.
Because strong organizations allow communities to thrive.

Stone Path began long before the company existed.
The name Stone Path honours my Inuit grandmother, Mary Epoo Stone.

For more than 30 years, she and my grandfather operated a transit house in Montreal for Inuit women and children travelling from Nunavik for medical care.

Their home became a place of warmth, safety, and community for families navigating unfamiliar systems far from home.

Witnessing the way they cared for others deeply shaped my understanding of service, leadership, and responsibility.

The name Stone Path reflects the belief that meaningful progress is built slowly and intentionally, one stone at a time, creating a path forward for others.

Experience matters.
But relationships matter more.
I’m Samantha Doig, an Inuk HR executive and organizational-development consultant, and the founder of Stone Path Consulting. I bring more than 15 years of experience, including senior executive leadership, helping organizations strengthen their people, leadership, and workplace systems.

Before founding Stone Path, I served as Vice-President of Human Resources at Torngat Metals and spent eight years at Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, including as Director of Human Resources and Payroll. At Kativik, I led a team of 35 supporting approximately 1,300 employees across 20 locations, experience that deepened my understanding of the responsibilities, relationships, and practical challenges involved in leading within Inuit institutions.

My academic foundation includes an honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, with degrees in both Psychology and Diversity Studies, as well as a Certificate in Human Resources Management. I hold Myers-Briggs Type Indicator certification in Steps I and II, supporting my work in self-awareness, leadership development, and team relationships.

Working alongside Inuit and Indigenous organizations has shaped both my expertise and my approach. I listen closely, build trusted relationships, and work with leaders to create practical solutions that reflect their organization’s values and community realities. My goal is to leave organizations with clearer direction, stronger internal capacity, and systems they can confidently sustain.

Working together, with purpose.
